Triple Crown’s SlumpBuster baseball event is breaking new ground in 2019, with more than 725 teams descending on the Omaha region to take part in this essential youth sporting experience.
The plan is to work in enough time away from the ballfields to enjoy other diversions in the area, and for the most part that’s about teams making their way to the College World Series. But outside the sizzle and excitement of the CWS, there are other ways to round out your trip to the SlumpBuster. Henry Doorly Zoo – You’ve probably heard that this Omaha treasure is unusually impressive, and its reputation is more than deserved. The zoo is known world-wide for its work in breeding endangered species, and there’s also an engaging aquarium on site. http://www.omahazoo.com/ Omaha Old Market – As the population of folks coming to the College World Series starts to grow, this area offers innumerable options for dining and general entertainment. The vast collection resulted from a family’s personal involvement in racing and hot rodding for more than six decades, and their lifelong passion for collecting and preserving historic automotive artifacts. https://www.museumofamericanspeed.com/ Omaha Children’s Museum – A nice option for younger siblings in tow during the SlumpBuster.
